I have been hankering to go to a local second hand store that sells a verity of items that would peek the interest of nerds & geeks alike. I went in with the intent to purchase a few booster packs for Amonkhet series. Unfortunately they did not have any available. I instead I purchased a ‘Rivals Of Ixalan’ booster pack. This post is going to feature a card that I acquired within the fifteen cards.
Tenderhoot Dryad, from the ‘Rivals Of Ixalan’, is a green creature card. The card effect’s are that you ascend, and if you control ten or more permanents, you get the city’s blessing for the rest of the game. Also, At the beginning of each upkeep turn, you create a 1/1 green Saproling creature token. The Sparolings you control get a +2/ +2 as long as you have the city’s blessing. (You can see the full card at the Wizard’s Of The Coast “Gatherer” tool here: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=tendershoot%20dryad)
If you are looking to build a green deck, it would seem as if this card can do some real damage to the opponent you are up against.
Here is a video from youtube to explain how the card would work in a deck!

Last week, a member of the raid team I run with in Warcraft had made a suggestion.
His suggestion was to download and play “Magic: The Gathering! Arena”. My younger brother, who also plays and collect’s MTG Cards, made the suggestion to me as well. I have also seen several people play the game via twitch as well. So, I quickly went over to the Wizards Of The Coast website and did so.
I figured, I would play 2 or 3 nights a week, and get better at mechanic’s. Honestly, it is fun. I really am enjoying my time spent in the game thus far.
So, for those of you that are looking to play more MTG, and have minimal time, this may also be a good way to scratch the itch!
