World Questing: Music Motivation!

For all intensive purposes, let me lead this post of by saying that I absolutely love the soundtrack that the Blizzard team puts together for their expansions. However, at times I do need to listen to something different by other talented artist.

I want to give these artist the space to be creative and give them some of my attention as well when I game. To become immersed in what they are trying to achieve by listening in a way that I would naturally.

Once I listened to the following music I absolutely fell in love with all of the elements of the music.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Warcraft Wednesday: World Quest Grind!

WoWScrnShot8So, I finally opened up world quest and just because it is a new expansion does not mean that this feels unfamiliar.

I spent most of my time in Legion with the world quest in various zones for rep, gear, or the shiny new mount to add to my collection. This expansion will be more of the same.

I know last expansion I got the Highmountian and Azuna mount’s. I was wondering if it was worth going back and trying to collect the rest of them. It would be nice but I dont find it a necessary grind on top of what we have to do currently to gear for raid and to eventually get flight in this expansion.

Guess you can say I am a lazy collector of the things!

MMeh: Warcraft, ilvl & You.

IWoWScrnShot_090218_011625 dont know when the whole item level idea switched again or bringing just the item level instead of the person actually playing a class they enjoy.

It seems like with Azurite gear and the item squish Blizzard made a mistake. A huge one. I am sure not the only one who has felt his way and it was pointed out in the last Q&A with Ion. Not only are we as players not getting the stats we need but the stats are so janky that I cant seem to play a priest and even be close to as strong as I feel like my character should be. Priest need haste for shadow and attaining it is a little lack luster.

I do not know if playing the class I have come to enjoy is even worth the trouble anymore due to it. All that players seem to be looking for is the one number that could help them get through a heroic 5 man instance, item level.

I know I sound like I am complaining but I should not feel like when I am out in the world like I can only ever pull one mob and die three out of the five times because my gear does not have the correct amount of Critical Strike and haste to keep my head above water. I am not asking them to pass out gear like they did with last expansion or any other time but I know this does not feel very good now. I honestly dont think that I will be strong enough as a shadow priest this raid tier at all because of the haste situation. I also know that I can not just wait around to let my character collect dust either.

I know I can fix it. It will just take me a long time. It just does not feel very good. It is not motivating me enough to even want to try as much as I did previously. I will try though. Azurite gear is starting to feel like the legendary’s from last expansion. Weather to a different character or to another game entirely?

I hate feeling this way about a game that I have played for a long time. I know what Blizzard was trying to do as unsuccessful as it seems at the current moment. There is not a lot we can do about it either. Weather Blizzard or us as players. I know I sound overly critical and it is intended to be that way because I know Blizzard can and has done better then this.

I just have to suck it up and make the most of it or move on. I, currently, am going to continue to at least try for now.

Warcraft: Holy Item Level Batman!

Zeph WhiteAs of Saturday evening my priest now can que for heroic’s. That only took forever.

Holy crap, I did not think it would be that hard to get there or that it would take me that long. RNG must really not like me thus far into the expansion.

Oh well! I am at least the minimum for heroic’s and will more then likely ready within the 325 to 330 item level range before I enter the raid on Tuesday. I dont want to sound like I am complaining however, this is going to be a goal that is going to be a good one to get to.

BFA: Where Does My Allegiance Lay?

WoWScrnShot_122017_194904With Battle For Azeroth in full swing, I do not ever remember actually choosing a “side” or faction and without ever explaining why. Let me do that now. The short answer is neither.

Shocking? Right? Nope actually. I know I am not the only one that feels this way. It in no way unique or special. The only difference is not everyone has the time or place to voice their opinions like I have the privilege to.

My reason for feeling this way runs deep and I am going to try not to be long winded about it.

I started off Horde when I officially started to play World of Warcraft. I always felt like they were the bad asses of the two. However, I do not follow the current warchief’s way of doing things. Saurfang attacked Malfurian in a dishonorable way. That is just not what I thought the horde would do. At least not Saurfang. Now, Sylvanas is another story. She did get stabbed by the Lich King’s sword, Frostmourne, and that would drive any soul to madness. For that and her sinister urge to do horrible acts to her alive counterparts is not a surprise. However, War Crimes I can not support. For any reason. (By the way, I enjoyed the story elements in this and will not take the approach other players chose to take and bash the company that has made the game. Let’s que the Taliesin famous words to describe that situation. “It is a shit show, obviously!”)

With all of that said, for role play and for nothing else, Zephirah (My priest that is slowly being taken over by the void) will be following the Kirin Tor and where ever Khadgar will go.

I will always stand for Azeroth.

Zephirah’s Adventure: Blogging Schedule!

Since the blog’s inception it has had one consistent thing. Change. It has been nothing short of a magical adventure that I have undertaken and I am ecstatic for all of the metamorphosis the blog has undertaken.

With that being stated, I have an updated schedule of topic’s that are going to be posted through out the week.

Monday’s: Magic! The Gathering (MTG)
Tuesday’s: Tunes (music)
Wednesday’s: Warcraft
Thursday’s: Random Topic!

(Topic’s that are not covered through out the rest of the week!)

Friday’s: Feature of the week!

(This will be community based. Weather MTG, Warcraft, or anything that would spark interest at the moment!)

Saturday’s: Zephirah’s Adventure Podcast!

I know I have not mentioned Sunday’s in my list of days or topic combinations. The reason for that is I would like to plan for the following week of post and continue to keep my Sunday evenings available for my D&D Campaign.

Essentially, the blog post have went from Monday, Wednesday & Friday post up to daily with the exception of Sundays. That is a total of three more post weekly. I am taking this on because I have so many interest and want to make sure I am giving the topic’s that I would like to cover enough space to grow. The blog is called “Adventure” for a reason. So why restrict the topic list or post that I would want to post due to keeping at a schedule that does not no longer fit.

While I am here I wanted to thank all of the readers for visiting, reading, liking the post, and listening to me banter on endlessly in the podcast form of the blog. For those of you that have posted comments or provided feedback, a special thank you to you for everything. I have enjoyed our conversations and would love to interact in that capacity more often.

If you have been living under a rock, have not listened to previous podcast, or read any of my previous post you would not know that I am part of a D&D Campaign. On that note, I would like to introduce the player characters that were drawn for us!

I am super excited to let you guys see what our characters look like and very happy that we now have a visual representation.

Alludra, the fabulous cohost of Battle Pets and Fae Warlock in the campaign had asked us a few weeks ago if we would want a sketch drawn of our character’s. I jumped on the chance to take her up on the offer. She reached out to her son and he took it from there with descriptions we as players had provided to her.

Her son, Teirren, did a wonderful job and I am super happy how things worked out.

Please, if you are interested in any art being done for your character in a D&D campaign – feel free to reach out to Teirren via Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/_teirren_/

He also has a Deviant Art page, it can be found here: https://www.deviantart.com/teirren
