Featured Blog: Gnomecore!

Gnomecore.JPGGnomecore is written and maintained by Alexander, A 34 year old native to St. Petersburg, Russia with his wife and two cats!

Gnomecore’s interest are traveling and he has been to most every country in Europe, Turkey, China and Japan. Music and playing keyboards, composing songs and writing lyrics for a fantasy, folk-metal band, and finally World Of Warcraft. He is openly bi-factional, semi-casual altoholic that spends his evenings and weekends in Azeroth.  His favorite race are Gnomes, hence the reasoning behind the name of his blog.

You’r WoW Soundtrack, Part 6: Qveen Herby!

Qveen HerbyAmy Renee Noonan, now known by her stage name Qveen Herby,  first gained fame as part of the music duo Karmin.  Karmin released two albums and took a hiatus in 2017, then Amy began her solo project Qveen Herby, which incorporated R&B and hip hop influences.

I have always enjoyed listening to Amy’s work, and is always in rotation in my playlist for raid!

June’s Book Of The Month: Milk & Honey

The book is a self published debut collection of poetry, that was released in November 2014, and is a New York Times bestseller.

‘Milk and Honey’ is divided into four chapters. Each chapter serves a different purpose (violence, abuse, love, loss, & femininity). On that note, I would like to place a note here that the collection may be triggering for some that would potentially reading it.

I, honestly, understood where she was going with this. The theme’s in the collection are topic’s that are hard to go through for a human. On that note, a lot of people in their reviews around the web have been other highly critical or were absolutely enthralled. I tend to fall right in the middle of the grey area.

The poems are relateable, sure, but that’s where it comes to an end for me. This book seems to be a series of extremely cliche sentiments about self-love, romance,  and social issues, that are chopped up to look like poetry.

Just know that this book is not going to be for everyone, or a larger audience, and I would strongly recommend for a parent to at least have a once over through the book before allowing their preteen or teenager have a go at it. I would also go as far to say, It was snippets of things that happened to the young author that should really not happen. Just because its emotionally charged – and edited in a different way does not really make it poetry, or good for that matter.

Panic! At The Disco: It’s Saturday Night!

Pray for the Wicked is the upcoming sixth studio album by Panic! at the Disco, set to be released on June 22, 2018. Their first single from the album, Say Amen (Saturday Night), is a catchy tune with an awesome music video to go along side it!

If you cant tell, I am excited for the release of the album!

Your WoW Soundtrack, Part 4: Rocking the Raid Edition!

Thanks to Z & Cinder’s blogging challenge I would like to transition the Music Monday post to a series entitled “Your WoW Soundtrack, Part (whatever part I would be on at the time): (insert special title here) “. I will every so often produce a special musical Monday post that will be at random. You will be able to tell the difference between the post at a glance at the post title. In this post I will be posting about the heavier music I listen to during raid and I know not everyone is into the same musical adventure that I am currently on. That is ok. We are all different and have different things we like. If you enjoy the music, please support the artist in any way you can. Don’t just rip their music from the internet, that is bad kids!

I used Spotify to create the playlist. I am sure this playlist will get longer as I go along!
